NFL Player & Wife Planned Wedding Around Honorary Groomsmen …Their Pit Bull Ace

When your dog really is man’s best friend…let no man put asunder!

Baltimore Ravens center Jeremy Zuttah and his wife Heran Haile consider their pit bull, Ace, a true part of their family. So much so, they decided that Ace would walk down the aisle as an honorary groomsman!

Ace became a part of Jeremy and Heran’s lives 8 years ago while the couple was studying at Rutgers University. Heran admittedly wanted a Yorkie instead (much smaller with a better rep, to be honest), but soon warmed up to the dog. They’ve all been together ever since, so it only made perfect sense that Ace would have to be in their wedding!

After City Hall denied the request to have Ace be a part of the nuptials, the couple decided to plan a fancy ceremony at a converted gym where Ace could attend. Of course, just like his owners, Ace was dressed to the nines, all decked out in his own custom-made tux.

Watch Ace strut down the aisle below!

Of course, Ace had a few training sessions in order to walk without being distracted. So, even though there were a lot of people and cameras flashing, the pit kept calm, cool, and collected, walking down the aisle to stand by Jeremy and Heran on their special day!

Real cool idea! More and more people are including their pets in family events like this, considering them family and not just animals. Great to see the love that Jeremy and Heran have for Ace, and vice versa!

Would you ever consider having your dog as part of a big occasion such as this? Yay or nay?
